Missing Keralite from Kasargod sends text to family
Kasargod: One of the missing persons who is suspected to have joined the Islamic State have contacted his family members in Kerala. Shafeezudhin from Padanna in Kasargod got in touch with his sister in Kasargod with a message `We are fine here.’
The message originated from a number that he was using when in Kerala. There are unconfirmed reports that the message was sent from Tora Bora in Afghanistan.
Shafeez was one of the persons who went missing among the 21 and he is suspected to be the key person to have led others.
Meanwhile, Arshid Qureshi and Rizwan Khan, who were nabbed in Mumbai, will be brought to Kochi for detailed questioning and gathering of evidence.
The accused were nabbed from Mumbai in a joint operation conducted by Kerala police and Anti-Terrorist Squad of Maharashtra police
