Kochi: Actor Joju George's reaction to the Congress protest was mysterious, said DCC president Muhammed Shiyas. Was he trying to divert the attention from the death of former Miss Kerala and her friends, he asked. Police must enquire whether Joju was present at the DJ party at Number 18 hotel, Shiyas told mathrubhumi.com.
Joju started the trouble soon after he arrived at the protest location. We have information that he created a similar ruckus earlier that day at a hotel in Edappally where he stayed. A person who was in another car behind Joju's wrote on Facebook that his reaction was not 'normal'. Was he using any other drugs than liquor? He was either trying to protect himself or someone else by diverting the attention, Shiyas alleged.
Shiyas also alleged that police is showing a lackadaisical attitude on the accident death case.
Former Miss Kerala Ansi Kabeer, runner-up Anjana Shajan and their friend died in an accident on the intervening night of October 31 and November 1. They were returning from a DJ party held at Number 18 hotel at Fort Kochi.
Actor Joju George's SUV was vandalised allegedly by Congress workers on November 1 when the actor protested against a roadblock caused by the demonstration of INC.
