Vandalised restaurant in Triprayar

Triprayar: A three-member gang vandalised a restaurant for allegedly refusing to give away biryani without payment. A hotel staff member's ear was chopped amidst the brawl. The incident happened at the restaurant ‘Kalavara’ near Triprayar junction in Thrissur district on Wednesday night.

The gang who arrived at the restaurant demanded four biriyanis as parcels and asked to put the bill in the tab. Though Assam native Junaid, a staff in the hotel, informed them that payment must be made upfront as the restaurant owner was not present there, the gang did not heed to it. The disgruntled men attacked the staff when he contacted the restaurant owner to inquire whether to give the parcel or not. The assailants thrashed Junaid again when he rang up Valapad police amid the skirmish. Junaid sustained severe injuries on his eyes and his ear got chopped off in the attack.
