Kodiyeri Balakrishnan
Thiruvananthapuram: CPM State Secretary Kodiyeri Balakrishnan informed that sharp criticism was raised against the ministers during the CPM State Committee meeting. He said that the Home Department was also criticised.
“The drawbacks in the ministers' activities must be discussed by the party itself. We have done that. The overall activities of ministers were discussed this time. Instructions have been given to ministers to stay engaged in various activities across the state in the coming days,” Kodiyeri said while addressing the media after the meeting.
He also added that many activities are organised online these days and instructions are given to take action to bring an effective change in this matter.
“There is no need for changing the ministers. Criticism has been raised against the police department many times. But still, Kerala is a state with commendable law and order system,” pointed out the CPM leader.
“The party had discussions over CPI’s stand on Lok Ayukta. There is no possibility of a dispute over this. We will hold discussions and move forward,” he added.
Kodiyeri also criticised the governor for refusing to sign the ordinances.
“The stand taken by the Governor by refusing to sign the ordinances is very strange. He has said many things over the years but it was the first time he took such a rigid stand. It is not clear why the Governor refused to sign the ordinances,” he said.
