MV Govindan

Thiruvananthapuram: CPM state secretary MV Govindan emphasized the role of ministers in defending allegations against Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan. He stressed the importance of ministers issuing statements on political matters with a clear and purposeful direction.

His remark came in response to Tourism Minister Mohammed Riyas's statement that CPM ministers have the moral responsibility to defend attacks targeting the Chief Minister.

"When issuing statements, ministers should adhere to the party's political stand. CPM does not discourage ministers from engaging in political discussions. We aspire to progress collectively on all government-related matters," he said. He further added that all ministers should ideally respond to various issues.
