Kochi gang rape appalling; Minister Veena George promises severe action

Thiruvananthapuram: Kerala Minister of Health Veena George said that the gang rape reported in Kochi was an appalling incident. Through a recent Facebook post, the minister said that severe action will be taken against the perpetrators.

Directions have been given to ensure adequate treatment to the survivor, informed the minister.

Currently, police have taken three Kodungallur native men and a Rajasthan native woman under custody in relation to the case. A 19-year-old model from Kasaragod was gang raped by three men inside a Thar SUV in Kochi on Thursday night.
