Sudipto Sen, V Sivankutty
Thiruvananthapuram: Minister for Education V Sivankutty lashed out at Sudipto Sen, director of the controversial movie ‘The Kerala Story’, over his remarks on Kerala during a press conference in Mumbai. Through a Facebook post, the minister said that Sudipto Sen knows nothing about Kerala.
Sudipto Sen had said that there are two Keralas inside the state. On one side Kerala has beautiful backwaters, landscape, Kalaripayattu and dance but on the other side, the northern part of Kerala, including Malappuram, Kasaragod, and Kozhikode are centres of terrorist activities, the director said.
The movie ‘The Kerala Story’ had been withdrawn from the theatres in Tamil Nadu. The movie is being screened only in a few theatres in Kerala. Taxes were exempted for the movie in Uttar Pradesh and Madhya Pradesh.
