Minister Thilothaman's PA expelled from CPI for attempt to defeat LDF candidate


Cherthala (Alappuzha): The private secretary of minister P Thilothaman has been expelled from CPI. P Pradyuth, who is also former secretary of the party local committee, was expelled.

The action was taken after Pradyuth refused to take part in the election campaign. The party received information about Pradyuth engaged in campaigns calling for the defeat of LDF candidate in Cherthala P Prasad. CPI took the action after receiving a complaint in this regard.

Karuva local committee meeting convened on Thursday decided to expel Pradyuth from the party. The meeting was convened in the presence of minister P Thilothaman. Similar allegations have arisen against other personal staff of the minister.
