Kannur: Scheduled castes and scheduled tribes welfare minister K Radhakrishnan said that the Pinarayi government is characterised by making things possible that many thought were impossible to realise. He said that this government has shown that there is an alternative way for the development of the country.

He was inaugurating the 'Ente Keralam' mega exhibition at Kannur police ground as part of the second anniversary of the state government. The exhibition will be held till April 17.

According to NITI Aayog, Kerala is ahead in many aspects of decent living standards. While hunger and poverty are increasing in the country, Kerala is setting an example in poverty alleviation. The government is making an effort to bring the very poor into the mainstream of the society, the minister said.

The event was presided over by the chairman of the organising committee, MLA Ramachandran Kadannappalli.

MPs Dr John Brittas, Dr V Sivadasan, district panchayat president PP Divya, MLAs KK Shailaja, M Vijin, KV Sumesh, KP Mohanan, district collector S Chandrasekhar, district information officer EK Padmanabhan also spoke at the event.
