Minister MM Mani asks health dept staff deputed in other districts to return to Idukki
Idukki: Minister MM Mani said that health department workers who were appointed in Idukki district should end their deputation in other districts and return to service. He was speaking at the meeting convened in district collector’s chamber to evaluate the functioning of Idukki medical college.
Minister has asked for a list of healthcare workers who are serving in other districts as part of their deputation. Minister also urged the health workers to arrange all necessary facilities on a war footing as the disease has spread to all districts in the state.
MM Mani also stated that treatment for other diseases, MRI and CT scan facilities will be arranged immediately at the medical college. The functioning of dialysis unit in the hospital will be started soon.
District collector H Dineshan informed that a new ambulance funded by MLA Roshy Augustine will be brought to the medical college soon and that RT PCR testing will start as soon ICMR approves of it.
The collector also clarified that new staff will be appointed at the hospital and that E-Sanjeevani scheme will be extensively implemented.
