Balussery: Sunila, a paraplegic woman residing in Ottupara of Narikkuni panchayat will soon start to live in her dream house down the hills. Minister of Scheduled Castes and Backward Classes, K Radhakrishnan, who came to know about Sunila through a news from Mathrubhumi has promised to build a new house for her through LIFE mission.

Vazhaparambath Fathima had already kindly sponsored three cents of land down the hill for Sunila by considering her difficulties in reaching the road from her house at the hilltop. The minister has informed that a house will be built on this plot after discussing with the local governing body. Other eligible aids from the department of scheduled castes will also be made available to Sunila, said the minister.

As the assistance from LIFE mission will not be sufficient to complete the works of the house, the grama panchayat president of Narikkuni has informed that a fund will be raised from the panchayat to meet the rest of the expenses for Sunila’s house.

By visiting Sunila’s house, representatives of Legal Service Authority, KP Jayarajan and E Sanal offered temporary aid for Sunila till the building of the house gets completed.
