Kottayam: Minister AK Saseendran here on Thursday rebuffed the rumours on Pala MLA Mani C Kappan's re-entry to LDF. The ruling front is not weak to bring in Kappan, the NCP veteran said.

Kappan had earlier said that opposition leader VD Satheesan is turning his back on him, and the front is not keeping him in the loop on issues they are taking up.

"Kappan is a UDF MLA. I don't think he will hold any talks with LDF. Neither do we plan to discuss such matters. He quit our party and formed a new one. LDF is not as weak as to re-accommodate him," the minister said. He added that the criticism exposes the basic nature of UDF. The Front is a sinking ship. Their internal issues will worsen in the coming days, he added.

Opposition leader VD Satheesan said that Kappan should have raised the issue on the front instead of making such comments before the media.
