Thiruvananthapuram: Minister of Higher Education R Bindu on Wednesday informed the Kerala Assembly that a panel will be constituted to study the reasons behind the rising trend of students going abroad for higher studies.

She added that the government had undertaken several measures to attract foreign students to the state.

The minister was replying to a question raised by MLA Muhammed Muhsin. MLA questioned whether Kerala would become an 'education hub' as announced by the state government.

The opposition has been raising concerns and criticising the education department over the trend.
