Swapna Suresh-Vijesh Pillai
Kozhikode: Swapna Suresh, an accused in the controversial diplomatic baggage gold smuggling case of 2020, alleged that a middleman named Vijesh Pillai offered her Rs 30 crore and a visa to leave the country to stop levelling accusations against Kerala chief minister Pinarayi Vijayan and his family. He also told her that her life was under threat if she did not obey, Swapna said on Thursday in a Facebook Live video.
In her video, Swapna said the middleman was named Vijay Pillai. However, the documents shared by her advocate with the media show that his name is Vijesh Pillai.
She also released a purported photograph of the said meeting in Bengaluru. She said he asked her to hand over the evidence she possessed to a person he suggests.

Vijesh offered to move to Jaipur or Haryana immediately and offered a visa to the UK or Malaysia, Swapna said.
Communist Party of India (Marxist) state secretary MV Govindan has said that her life will be in trouble if she is not ready to leave Bengaluru. Vijesh told Swapna. CM and Govindan will make arrangements to settle in the UK or Malaysia, she said quoting Vijesh.
According to Swapna, Vijesh also told her that the money was offered through Yusuff Ali. He has shares in airports in Kerala. I will be trapped in drug smuggling cases if I don’t obey. They want me to go to jail or leave the country, she said.
Swapna also said she would fight till she finds closures to the cases. “I will expose the business empire of the CM. I have handed everything over to the probe agencies,” she added.
