MHM Ashraf, Mayor M Anilkumar
Kochi: LDF councillor MHM Ashraf openly declared his support for the no-confidence motion moved by the UDF against the chairman of the town planning committee. However, Mayor M Anilkumar informed that Ashraf is still part of the LDF.
Though MHM Ashraf who got elected from the sixth division of Kochi corporation resigned from the CPM, he was continuing with the LDF. Earlier, he left the party due to the dissatisfaction over the selection of town planning committee chairman.
Later, Ashraf backed UDF in its allegations against the town planning committee and Mayor over the issues related to the Jio cable and Brahmapuram waste plant. He had openly declared his stance against the town planning standing committee chairman Sanal Mon.
