Literary critic Dr. V. C. Harris passes away


Kottayam: Director of Mahatma Gandhi University School of Letters and writer Dr. V. C. Harris (58) passed away at 11 am on Monday at the Kottayam Medical College, where he has been under treatment after an accident.

The accident took place on October 5, when he collapsed while travelling in an autorickshaw. He was admitted into the ICU of Kottayam Medical college with serious head injuries.

V. C. Harris was a film - literary critic and also a film and drama worker. Born in Mayyazhi, he completed his education from Kannur SN College and Calicut University Department of English. He also worked as a teacher in Kozhikode Farook College. He had numerous disciples from all parts of the state.
