Thiruvananthapuram: The family of deceased KPCC treasurer V Prathapachandran lodged a complaint with Director General of Police (DGP) against a section of Congress insiders stating mental pressure from counterparts resulted in his death.

According to the complaint filed by Prathapachandran’s children Prajeeth and Preethi, their father was mentally stressed over media reports of malpractices in KPCC fund involving him. Prathapachandran had reportedly informed his children that he will be filing a police complaint against two persons in Kozhikode, whom he suspected to be behind the fake narrative against him. He had intimated his decision to KPCC chief too, the complaint states.

Meanwhile, the copy of the police complaint has been sent to Opposition leader(Congress) and KPCC chief.

Prathapachandran passed away last month at his residence in Thiruvananthapuram due to suspected cardiac arrest. He was son of former KPCC president and minister S Varadha Rajan and grandson of Diwan Rajagopalachari.
