Medical team from Kerala to aid rescue operations in Sri Lanka
Thiruvananthapuram: A special medical team was formed in Kerala to help in the rescue operations in Sri Lanka following the serial bomb blasts. Health Minister KK Shailaja informed that the medical team was formed to ensure emergency medical support to the neigbouring country which witnessed serial bomb blasts on Easter Sunday.
The action was taken as directed by Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan.
A team of 15 members led by Thiruvananthapuram Medical College deputy superintendent Dr. SS Santhosh Kumar will move to Sri Lanka to engage in the rescue operation.
The team will move to Sri Lanka after receiving permission from the central government and Sri Lankan government, said Health Minister in her Facebook post.
