Medical college scam: MT Ramesh to appear before Vigilance on Nov 2
Thiruvananthapuram: BJP State General Secretary MT Ramesh, who is allegedly involved in the medical college scam, will not give his statement to the Vigilance today. Instead, he will appear before the Vigilance on November 2.
Vigilance has asked him to appear before the probe team today to record his statement. But the vigilance postponed the date as Ramesh has informed them that he has some inconvenience today.
It has been alleged that BJP leaders have accepted a bribe of Rs.5.60 crore from a private medical college owner to facilitate accreditation of the Indian Medical Council (IMA) for his institute.
Vigilance has recorded statements of more than 15 people in connection with the case including BJP internal probe commission members KP Sreesan, AK Naseer and SR Medical College owner who bribed the leaders.
