Kannur: Though LDF tasted victory in Mattannur municipality poll by retaining the local body, the celebrations are apparently more energetic at UDF camp. It bagged 7 more seats this time taking the tally to 14.

The number of seats of UDF in Mattannur has been swinging for the past few elections. It could only bag 7 seats in 2017 while in 2012, it got 14 seats. In 2007, the tally was 6.

The win in 14 out of 35 seats despite LDF’s established base in majority of wards makes the UDF camp jubilant.
