Kozhikode: The Greater Malabar Initiative (GMi) Young Women’s Summit and Awards 2021 was held on March 7 here, on the eve of International Women’s Day.

Mayura Shreyams Kumar, Director-Digital Business, Mathrubhumi, won the award in Media category while Navani Devananad (Cinema), Akiya Komachi (Social Media), Hiba Mubarak (Entrepreneurship), Jeena PS (Sports) and Sreya Jayadeep (Music) also won the awards.

The honors were presented by Kozhikode mayor Dr. Beena Philip, district panchayat president Kanathil Jameela and deputy mayor CP Musafar Ahamed.

GMi president TC Ahamed presided over the function.

AM Ashiq, Roshan Kainady, Aparna G Kumar, Abdulla Maliyekkal and Sona Johar also spoke at the event.
