Kerala School Kalolsavam coverage: Mathrubhumi reporter AK Sreejith bags state govt's award

Thiruvananthapuram: The state government on Monday announced media awards for the 61st Kerala State School Arts Festival. Mathrubhumi Staff Reporter A.K. Sreejith received the Best Reporter (Print) award for the report titled 'Aadhivasi eppozhum agoshathinu purath thanne' (Tribals continue to be out of festivity).

The awards are for journalists (print/visual/audio/online) who covered the 61st State School Arts Festival held in Kozhikode from January 3 to 7, 2023. The award includes a memento and cash prize (Rs. 20,000/ for individuals and Rs. 25,000/ for institutions).

This year's media awards were decided by a committee comprising KJ Jacob (Executive Editor, Deccan Chronicle), Vinod Vyshakhi (Malayalam Mission Registrar) and V. Salin (Additional Director, Programs & Culture, Information and Public Relations Department).
