Kozhikode: Collegues paid to homage to Mathrubhumi Managing Director MP Veerendra Kumar upon his passing away. Management representatives and representatives of the employees paid their respect to him. Each one of them remembered the kindness and love he showed, which was transcended his position as the head of the institution, in the meeting held at Mathrubhumi head office, Kozhikode.

Mathrubhumi Managing Editor PV Chandran said that MP Veerendra Kumar was able to lift Mathrubhumi to its current position from when it was closed down. He remembered that the bond between them was that of brothers and they were able to take decisions together.

Joint Managng Editor PV Nidheesh stated that MP Veerendra Kumar was a big lesson on how to maintain good relationships. His style was to respect one another and give freedom to express each other’s opinion and then find the common ground between them. This style contributed immensely to the growth of Mathrubhumi, he said.

Mathrbhumi Editor Manoj K Das said that Veerendra Kumar did not let go of any of his past age groups. Depending on the person, he used to decide on which version of him he would take out. He would store all of it like in a shelf. He also remembered that irrespective of how serious his work was, MP Veerendra Kumar did it in such a manner that it touched everyone around him.
