Thrissur: The news carried out by mathrubhumi.com regarding KSRTC buses not stopping at Sakthan stand in Thrissur after 6.30 pm, has yielded results.

KSRTC Zonal Director, Sukumaran has issued an order that all KSRTC buses should take passengers from Sakthan stand after 6.30 pm.

Mathrubhumi.com had published a story describing the struggle faced by passengers after none of the KSRTC buses stopped at Sakthan stand on November 24. Passengers, who had to go to faraway places, were stuck as even the last bus left without stopping at Sakthan stand. Following this, passengers including Sandhya Jalesh, a health worker at Thrissur Medical College, sought help from police.

The news story published by mathrubhumi.com came under the attention of KSRTC authorities.

KSRTC Zonal Director, Sukumaran told mathrubhumi.com that they will look into why the buses did not stop at Sakthan stand and assured that buses will be arranged as per the number of passengers from Thursday.

Sukumaran also said that he has instructed that passengers should be allowed to get inside the bus while adhering to COVID protocol.
