Mathrubhumi impact: Finance Minister ensures appointments will continue through employment exchange
Alappuzha: Finance Minister Thomas Issac has ensured that appointments to lower posts in various offices will continue through employment exchange. State government is not considering to change the recruitment process to temporary posts of lower cadre from employment exchange.
On Wednesday, Mathrubhumi daily had published an article on scrapping of appointments through employment exchange. Action was taken following this article.
Earlier it was instructed to appoint the daily wage staff for cleaning and security jobs from Kudumbashree, the women’s collective, or Kexcon, the agency of ex-service men. This was set to become a setback for the 7000 candidates registered in the employment exchange.
Now, minister has informed of withdrawing the instruction.
“One week before itself it was instructed to withdraw the order. Once the finance secretary returns from Delhi, the same will be withdrawn,” minister said.
When asked on the mark moderation row, Issac said that it would be better if education minister answers the question and added that responses were made on mark moderation row in the Assembly.
