K Sudhakaran Pillai

Kozhikode: Former assistant editor of Mathrubhumi K Sudhakaran Pillai passed away at a private hospital here on Wednesday after he suffered a heart attack. He was 58.

Hailing from Kollam’s Chadayamangalam, Pillai has worked in Mathrubhumi Kozhikode as news editor and assistant editor of Money-Business page in Kochi. He has been covering sports and money matters.

Pillai was very active in trade union activities and has donned various roles in Mathrubhumi Journalist Union including central committee president, general secretary and employees concord secretary. He was former member of Kerala Journalist Union and has been volunteering for Isha Yoga Foundation.

PG Seena is his wife. Children VS Devika and VS Sajay.
