Kozhikode: The ‘Go Green’ project, jointly launched by ‘Mathrubhumi’ and Federal Bank got a kickstart on Friday. The state level inauguration of the project was done by Forest Minister AK Saseendran, who distributed seedlings to students in Kozhikode.
Speaking at the event, Saseendran opined that the project will aid to nurture love for nature in the minds of the new generation, who are living in a world where climate change is disrupting the agricultural calendar and human lives equally.
“The biggest challenge faced by mankind nowadays is maintaining ecological balance. This initiative by Mathrubhumi, which came to life by the efforts of patriots during the Indian freedom struggle, is an exemplary project for future generations,” he added.
The ceremony was chaired by Federal Bank vice president A Ajith Kumar and attended by Mathrubhumi senior executive director V Raveendranath, Federal Bank vice president and zonal head CV Reji, Mathrubhumi senior regional manager C Manikantan among others.
