Lekshmi Nair lodges complaint with DGP over alleged attempts to malign her

Thiruvananthapuram: Lekshmi Nair on Monday filed a complaint to the Director General of Police (DGP) pointing out that that she is being maligned by those conducting the agitation at the Kerala Law Academy.

In the complaint, Lekshmi Nair says that the leaders of student organizations and other political leaders are delivering speeches which maligns her name.

"Such people are trying to insult my future daughter-in-law who is a student at the Law Academy and other family members. Around 80 students are conducting the agitation against the Law Academy for the past 25 days. Several trolls and messages are being spread in the social media against me as part of the agitation. Deliberate attempts are being made to question my morality. Several morphed photos are also being circulated. I have evidence regarding such instances," the complaint says.

Lekshmi Nair also asked the DGP to investigate the issue as soon as possible and to take legal action. Her request is to slap cybercrime sections on those behind such attempts.
