Thiruvananthapuram: In memory of former Mathrubhumi Chairman and Managing Director MP Veerendra Kumar, the employees of the organization will donate 84 television sets in Wayanad, said Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan while briefing media after the COVID evaluation meet here.

The television sets will be distributed to students who have no facility to attend online classes in Wayanad district. The deserving students will be identified with the help of district administration authorities under Collector Dr. Adeela Abdulla.

Veerendra Kumar was 84-year-old when he passed away on May 28, 2020. Hence 84 TVs are being donated in his memory, said Mathrubhumi Employees Concord.
