Kochi: Nepal citizen Peema Kumari, who was living alone in a deserted building in Mattancherry, has returned to her hometown. Mathurbhumi.com reported the story of Peema Kumari who got stuck in Kerala. Social workers Mukesh Jain and his wife Bhavana came forward to help Peema Kumari after the news went viral on social media.

Finally, with the help of this couple, Preema Kumari got an opportunity to return home after a wait of 16 years. She was given a farewell before leaving for Nepal.

She was living in a godown which was in poor condition. Government officials contacted her and initiated moves to shift her to a shelter home, following the news article published on Mathrubhumi.com. Mukesh jain contacted the relatives of Peema using a number that she provided.

Peema Kumari came to Kochi with her husband 16 years back. Her husband was a goorkha. After his death, she was living alone in the building as she did not have any other relatives.
