Peema Kumari
Kochi: The Jain Foundation has offered help for the return of Nepal citizen Peema Kumari, who is living in a miserable situation in Mattancherry here.
Mukesh Jain, foundation director told mathrubhumi.com that he would make arrangements for the speedy return of Kumari.
Following the mathrubhumi.com news story about the poor condition of the godown where Kumari was living, government officials contacted her and initiated moves to shift her to a shelter home. Hibi Eden MP had also intervened in the matter.
Jain Foundation has contacted the relatives of Peema through the number she provided. They are ready to accept her. She had come to Kochi with her husband, who was a goorkha. Years ago, he passed away. Since then, she has lived in old commercial buildings.
