Thiruvananthapuram: The media awards for the 60th Kerala state school youth festival and 63rd Kerala state school sports meet have been announced.
In the youth festival, Mathrubhumi bagged the award for overall coverage in the print media section. The best reporter award in the print category was bagged by E. V. Jayakrishnan of Mathrubhumi (Kasaragod Bureau) for his report titled ‘Adaruvan Vayya’.
In the school youth festival, Mathrubhumi also bagged the best reporter (print) and best photo. In the sports meet, the best reporter (print) was bagged by Sajna Alungal, a content writer with Mathrubhumi.com. Sajna was given the award for her report titled ‘Aa Divasangalilum Njangal Chillanu Bro’.
The award for best photo was bagged by Mathrubhumi’s P. Krishnapradeep (Kozhikode unit). His picture carrying the caption ‘Neediya Swarnam, Nastappetathum’ was selected for the award.
The awards carrying a memento and cash prize will be presented at a function scheduled to be held in the auditorium of the Department of Public Education on February 18.
