Alappuzha: Kavalam Puthiyottu Gopalakrishnan, who has been serving as an agent of ‘Mathrubhumi’ daily for the past 43 years, offered ‘thulabharam’ with newspapers at Palliyarakkavu Devi Temple the other day.
As per reports, 55 kilograms of newspapers was used for the offering, which was conducted after obtaining a special permission from the devaswom board.
“As a newspaper agent, I was able to win the love and respect of everyone in the society. That is why, I decided to conduct a ‘thulabharam’ with newspapers,” Gopalakrishnan said.
Gopalakrishnan is married to Ponnamma and has two children, Jyothi and Abhilash Krishnan.
