Mark moderation: Governor’s statement should be viewed seriously, says Chennithala
Thiruvananthapuram: Governor’s statement in the matter of mark moderation issue is highly serious, said Opposition Leader Ramesh Chennithala. He alleged that now it has been proved that the arguments made by Opposition was proved true and Governor was compelled to respond after witnessing the conditions of the state universities.
As minister couldn’t participate in the adalat at M G University, his private secretary attended it. He decided to provide moderation to the student. Even though academic council rejected the suggestion, syndicate accepted. More than 100 students were passed through this move, Chennithala alleged.
Meanwhle, authorities are trying to escape alleging error in software. It is the minister who is deciding calendar for Kerala University. The situation is similar in Kerala Technical University also. Minister who is the pro-chancellor has no authority to intervene in the daily affairs of the university. But minister K T Jaleel is intervening in all matters of the universities. Nepotism and corruption are involved in all these. It is clear from Governor’s statement. Minister even tried to mislead the Governor, further alleged Chennithala.
Leader of Opposition also asked the government to take notice of Governor’s statement and to take further action against the minister.
