Many high profile individuals will be trapped if C. M. Raveendran is questioned: Ramesh Chennithala
Kochikode: Leader of Opposition Ramesh Chennithala said that many high profile individuals will be trapped if the Chief Minister’s additional private secretary C. M. Raveendran is interrogated by the Enforcement Directorate (ED).
“That is the reason why Raveendran becomes ill whenever the ED summons him for interrogation. His life is under threat. The government must be ready to provide security for Raveendran and send an expert medical team from AIMS to check him,” the Congress leader said.
He was speaking at a programme organised by the Kozhikode press club in connection with the Local Self Government polls. Indian Union Muslim League (IUML) national general secretary P. K. Kunhalikutty was also present.
The government is trying to sabotage the gold smuggling case. Revelations made by Swapna Suresh are shocking. She said that she will be killed if she reveals the name of the high profile individuals involved in the case. A detailed probe must be held into this. Swapna’s revelations and Raveendran’s illness calls for it.
Chennithala again demanded to reveal the name of the high profile individual in the reverse hawala case. People deserve to know this, he added.
The Opposition leader said that CPI (M) interim state secretary A Vijayaraghavan was speaking in RSS’s voice. The CPI (M) wishes for the destruction of Congress. Both the BJP and CPI (M) are on the same page in Kerala.
Even Indian Union Muslim League (IUML) national general secretary P. K. Kunhalikutty said that the Welfare Party of India has aligned with the LDF. This will be proved right once the polls are over. There are no major allegations against K. M. Shaji MLA. The only allegations are regarding extension of his house and election expenditure. The MLA has given his explanation regarding both, Chennithala said.
