Kozhikode: Senior journalist Manoj K Das took charge as Mathrubhumi Editor on Friday. Previously, he was working as the Resident Editor of Times of India.

48-year-old Das hails from Kangazha in Kottayam. In 1994, he joined The New Indian Express. Later he was appointed as Kochi Bureau Chief, Deputy Resident Editor and as the Resident Editor.

He has also worked as Resident Editor in Asianet News, Deccan Chronicle and Times of India.

His family includes wife Saritha Manoj and two children Manas M Das and Manjeera M Das, both students of Rajagiri Public School.
