Mani C Kappan did not betray party, his demand fair; states TP Peethambaran Master
Kottayam: NCP state president TP Peethambaran Master stated that Mani C Kappan’s decision to join UDF is a huge loss for the party and that his demand was fair. He also added that Mani C Kappan did not betray the party.
Losing Pala seat is a big setback for the party. The state leadership and the national leadership demanded the seat. Mani C Kappan is one of the most important leaders of the party. He was one of the two MLAs of the party in Kerala. And so Kappan’s decision to leave is a huge setback to the party, he said.
He also added that 10 party representatives resigned along with Kappan and that he expects LDF to win Pala seat despite the crisis.
Meanwhile, minister AK Saseendran claimed that only 3 workers resigned along with Mani C Kappan and that Kappan along with his accomplices will be kicked out of the party. However, Peethambaran Master asked how can someone be ousted from a party after he has already resigned.
LDF’s decision to hand over the Pala seat to Jose K Mani is what provoked Mani C Kappan to join UDF. NCP will continue with LDF and so Kappan will form a new party. Kappan and his followers will welcome Ramesh Chennithala’s “Aishwarya Kerala rally’ when it reaches Pala on Sunday.
