Kozhikode: Minister A K Saseendran stated that Mani C Kappan’s announcement that he would join UDF is an injustice done to the thousands of LDF supporters who struggled a lot to make him an MLA.

The minister added that Mani C Kappan himself said that NCP national leadership is yet to decide on leaving the LDF, but announced he would join UDF later. This is a totally unjust stand, he said.

Mani C Kappan’s stand has surprised everyone in the party by taking a decision without waiting for the national leadership’s discussion. He should explain to the society what emergency situation arose to take a hasty decision, A K Saseendran said.

Mani C Kappan’s announcement that he would join UDF no matter what decision NCP national leadership takes indicates he had made an agreement with the UDF. Holding confidential discussions with a political front while being part of another front is an unjustifiable action, Saseendran blamed.
