Manhandling of Unnithan: 6 Cong activists suspended

Kollam: Six Congress activists were suspended from the party following the manhandling of Congress leader Rajmohan Unnithan on Wednesday morning.

As per the direction of KPCC president V M Sudheeran, Kollam DCC president Bindu Krishna initiated action against the activists.

Action was taken against Shankaranarayana Pilla, Vishnu Vijayan, Athul SP, Binu Mangalath, MS Ajithkumar and R Sabin who are Congress, Youth Congress and KSU workers.

The DCC has also entrusted a team to probe about the incident.

Tense moments prevailed in front of the DCC office here on Wednesday morning as section of Congress activists hurled rotten eggs at the vehicle in which party leader Unnithan was travelling. His vehicle also was damaged by them.. Activists supporting Muraleedharan gathered in front of the DCC office and smashed Unnithan's car and attempted to manhandle him.
