Kozhencherry: The ceremonial ‘Thanka Anki’ procession to adorn Sreedharmashasthavu of Sabarimala with golden attire started from Aranmula on Wednesday morning. The procession in chariot which began from Sree Parthasarathy Temple by 7 AM today will reach Pamba by December 25 by 1:30 PM.

The ‘Thanka Anki’ that will be taken as headload from Pamba Ganapathi Temple at 3 PM will reach Sharamkuthi by 5 PM.

The authorities and officials of Devasom Board will welcome the procession along with devotees and bring it to the Pathinettam Padi (18 holy steps).

The melsanthi (chief priest) and tanthri (vedic head) will adorn the deity with attire and ‘deeparadhana’ will be conducted. On December 26 afternoon Mandala Pooja will be held.
