Kannur: The investigation on the murder of 24-year-old Manasa seems to trouble some of the investigating officers as the accused Rakhil remains a mystery by himself and by committing suicide he left behind so many questions unanswered in front of the police.
Mathrubhumi.com found that 32-year-old Rakhil’s life was under isolation and his neighbours were not in close contact with him. His field of operation was away from the place of his house. He rarely visited home. However, he paid a visit two days before the incident.
Born in a poor family at Palliyammoola, a village in Kannur, his father Raghothaman had moved to Meloor 24 years back. In Meloor, he was a caretaker of a fish farm. Later he bought a fish farm and a land with the money earned from his job. After constructing a house, Raghothaman brought his wife Rajitha, younger son Rahul and Rakhil to Meloor. Rakhil did his schooling and degree in Kannur and later moved to Bangalore for MBA. Rakhil was an interior designer by profession. Nothing more is known and he remains a mystery.
“He did not have the habit of communicating with others. He was leading a posh life and his visits to his house were in cars. His brother Rahul is so social and keeps good relationship with all,” said a neighbor.
Everybody knows that he was an interior designer by profession. However, his work place and other details remain unanswered. Now the police investigation would primarly focus on how he got the gun.
When contacted, the CI of Kothamangalam police Sibin VS said a team of officials have left for Kannur to collect details about him. “Not many details are available now. Investigation is on and focus is on to find how Rakhil got the gun, with which he had killed Manasa.”
