Manasa, her uncle Vijayan
Kothamangalam: ''Manasa was a brilliant student, she was everything to all of us. She was our dream and our hope,'' Manasa's uncle Vijayan said emotionally from his car on the parking area of Mar Baselios Hospital premises in Kothamangalam.
Vijayan remembers how happy they would be to see her return home as a doctor. She completed the course fairly well in four years. If she had completed the house surgency for another month and a half, she would have become a doctor. The whole family was waiting eagerly for that moment.
"All four of us, including Manasa's father, live in the same house. When she returns home, she always visits me. She had such a close connection to all family members,” he added.
Vijayan also said that Manasa has never mentioned to them about Rakhil disturbing her on the college premises or in her residence in Nellikuzhi.
However, she had complained to her parents that someone was stalking her in Kannur. The matter was also reported to the police. The distance between Manasa's house and Rakhil's house is about 30 km. Relatives, including Vijayan, reached Kothamangalam on Saturday morning. Her parents didn’t travel to Kothamangalam since they haven’t recovered from the shock.
