Manasa excelled in studies; friends who witnessed shooting shell-shocked
Kothamangalam: The authorities of the college where Manasa, who was shot dead by a man the other day, was studying stated that she was an excellent student and scored well in exams. Bijesh, CEO of Indira Gandhi Dental College, said that Manasa was never involved in any troubles in college.
“Manasa was interning and had taken leave on the day of the incident. Her course was about to be completed in one month. She used to do well in exams and never involved in any issues in college. She was a decent student. Her friends went to the house where they were staying as paying guests by afternoon. They all are shocked after witnessing the incident. Their families have taken them home,” Bijesh added.
Manasa’s uncle responded that they were unaware if the accused Rakhil disturbed her in Kothamangalam.
“We all are living in the neighbourhood. All are in good terms. We don’t know if Rakhil visited Kothamangalam to disturb her or if she had told about this to her parents. A complaint was filed with the police about Rakhil earlier. We don’t know anything about Rakhil. His house is located 30 km away from our place. It is hinted that both of them got acquainted through social media,” Manasa’s uncle said.
