Man who died in Kasaragod on Sunday confirmed with COVID-19


As Sasidhara showed symptoms of COVID during treatment in the hospital, antigen test was performed after death.

Kasaragod: A man who died here on Sunday due to heart attack was confirmed with COVID-19. The deceased was identified as Adkathbail native Sasidhara. He died in a private hospital and tested positive for COVID-19 later.

As Sasidhara showed symptoms of COVID during treatment in the hospital, antigen test was performed after death. Also, fluid samples were sent to the Central University lab in Periya. The results of both tests were positive.

Following this, it has been decided to send the fluid samples to the virology lab in Alappuzha. The body of Sasidhara was cremated later according to COVID protocol.
