Kochi: In an unfortunate incident, a man was stabbed to death amid a verbal spat in Edavanakkad, Ernakulam on Friday. The deceased has been identified as Sanoj (42), a native of Nayarambalam.
As per reports, an argument over purchase of a vehicle led to the murder. The police have taken Sanoj’s friend Anil (52) into custody in connection with the incident.
The murder took place around 10 pm. Following which, Sanoj was rushed to a private hospital in Edavanakkad, but could not be saved.
Reportedly, this is the third murder, due to verbal disputes, which occurred in the area within the last two weeks.
