Man stabbed to death after clash in Kochi restaurant

Kochi: A man lost his life when he was stabbed by a customer of a restaurant near Ernakulam Town hall on Wednesday night. The man was stabbed amid a clash that broke out between them.

Central police informed that the deceased has been identified as Kollam native Edison (40). An investigation has been initiated to nab the suspect, who is a Mulavukad native.

Edison and the suspect arrived at the restaurant to have dinner and a quarrel erupted. Police inferred that both of them are strangers.

Onlookers said that the accused broke a glass bottle and stabbed Edison on his neck. After the incident, he rushed to the lodge where he was staying and escaped with his belongings. However, police recovered his Aadhar card after inspecting the room. Mortal remains of Edison were later shifted to Ernakulam general hospital.
