Palakkad: A family of four was attacked by their relative at Choolanoor here on Friday. The injured were rushed to Thrissur Medical College hospital for treatment.
According to police, Mukesh attacked and injured Mani, Susheela, Indrajith and Reshma after they objected to his love affair. Mukesh is son of Susheela's sister. Two fingers of Indrajith were severed as a result of the attack.
Relatives alleged that Mukesh attacked the family after they opposed his affair with the daughter of his aunt. The family opposed this relationship as they were cousins. This is believed to be the reason behind the attack.
