Thiruvananthapuram: A Fast Track Special Court here on Monday convicted a man for sexually assaulting his minor daughter and impregnating her. Judge V Udayakumar sentenced him to imprisonment of 106 years under various charges. As some of the punishments can be served together, the convict has to undergo jail term of 25 years.
The fast track court declared the punishment based on the case registered by Kattakada police in 2017. The court found that the convict had repeatedly raped his daughter, who was studying in 7th standard when his wife was not in the house. He was a rubber tapping worker.
The court sentenced him for 106 years of punishment under five charges. The public prosecutor Ajith Thankayya and Adv Gopika Gopal appeared for the prosecution.
