Man falls off bike after handle hits passerby's hand in Kovalam, succumbs to injuries

Kovalam: A 56-year-old man died after he fell off his bike when the handle of the vehicle accidentally hit a passerby's hand before losing control at Kovalam Beach Road on Friday night.

GS Baiju, hailing from Kalady, lost control of the bike after the vehicle's handle accidentally hit a passerby's hand. The accident happened near the Apsara Theatre Junction here. The passerby was trying to walk past a car parked on the road.

Baiju suffered serious injuries on his head. He was rushed to the hospital by the Kovalam police. However, he died while undergoing treatment at Medical College Hospital on Saturday.

Baiju was working in a private company. He is survived by his wife, Anitha, and son Govind Krishna.
