Thiruvananthapuram: A person died after a national permit lorry collided with a bike in Velavoor on Wednesday. The deceased is Pirappancode native Gopan (55), who was riding the bike. Ashokan (45), Venjarammoodu native, who was accompanying him, was admitted to Thiruvananthapuram Medical College with serious injuries.
The accident happened around 7 pm. Both vehicles were heading from the Pothencode area to Venjaramoodu. Locals claimed that the lorry hit the bike thereby leading to the passengers falling under the vehicle. Gopan died on the spot.
